CONSULTING ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE DUALLING OF NATIONAL ROUTE N2 SECTION 16 FROM END FREEWAY (km 22.00) TO BRAKFONTEIN I/C (km 27.40) T1.1 TENDER NOTICE AND INVITATION TO TENDER (Incorporating SBD1). CLOSING DATE (AT 11:00): 15 October 2021 The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) invites tenders for the provision of consulting engineering services for the dualling of National Route N2 Section 16 from End Freeway (km 22.00) to BRAKFONTEIN I/C (km 27.40). This project is in the province of Eastern Cape and in the district municipality of Amathole District Municipality and local municipality of Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality and the approximate programme is for design and construction documentation to be completed by November 2025, followed by supervision of 19 months, commencing September 2026. Preferences are offered to tenderers who comply with the criteria stated in the Tender Data. Only tenderers with a B-BBEE contributor status level of insert 1, 2, 3 or 4 are eligible to tender. It is a requirement of this project that the tenderer sub-contract a minimum of thirty percent (30%) (of the work to Targeted Enterprise(s) as defined in the Contract Data. Joint Ventures (JV) will be allowed on condition that one JV partner is a Targeted Enterprise. The JV partner will, however, not contribute to sub-contract target for Targeted Enterprises. Tenderers must submit, via email, the duly completed Form A1.1 Certificate of Intention to Submit a Tender within seven (7) days from the tender advertisement date. Failure to submit this certificate would result in the tenderer not receiving addenda or additional issued information and may result in the tenderer being non-responsive.
